ACTIVITIES
ACCIS is actively involved in such areas as the implementation of the Consumer Credit Directive and the cross border financial services. The Association represents its members in the Expert Group on Credit Histories set up in September 2008 by the European Commission
ACCIS members continue to co-operate to ensure that the Data Protection Directive is implemented smoothly in each member's country in a way which enables them to maintain a quality service to their clients.
A model contract has been prepared to support members in the provision of pan-European credit information services to their clients.
ACCIS also represents its member
in the negotiations about the EU regulation on mortgage credit and Capital
Requirements Directive. The Association works in cooperation with the other
European trade organizations such as EUROFINAS and with the Global Consumer
Credit Reporting Network.
