STRUCTURE
The General Assembly is the ultimate decision-making body - formulating the general principles of policy and activity for the Association.
The General Assembly meets at least one a year although additional meetings may be called at the discretion of the Executive Committee.
The day-to-day business of the Association is carried out by its President and the Secretary General under the direction of the Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee is answerable to the General Assembly, by whom it is directly elected, and is responsible for the direction and administration of the Association.
Membership of the Executive Committee mirrors the variety of traditions found within the membership and comprises the President, two Vice Presidents and not more than three representatives of the General Assembly.
The administration of the Association is done by the Secretary General, who is appointed by the Executive Committee and confirmed by the General Assembly.
In addition, Working Parties are formed, where appropriate, to consider particular matters of interest and report back to the Executive Committee.
Issues investigated by Working Parties include:
-
Data Protection issues
-
Trans-border exchange of credit reference data
-
Consumer Credit Directive
